Speechless

Speechless

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a dark and stormy night. Lightning flashed, and cast its eerie blue glow over the mansion on the mountain.

Inside the parlor of the house, Jiro was slowly going crazy. He was crumpled on the floor, clutching his head, and his face was contorted into a grimace of pure pain and agony. It was happening again....the same thing that happened every time he heard the flute. No, no, not this time! Please, Jiro's mind screamed as the strange music continued to play. He didn't want to go mad.

Fortunately for Jiro, Mitsuko had left to go take her brother to the doctor in the city. As a result, she was nowhere around. However, she had a guest staying at her house who was still upstairs in one of the bedrooms.....quite alone and quite vulnerable.

It suddenly occurred to Jiro through his haze of pain that the tune he heard playing now was not the same one as the one that he normally heard whenever he went mad. No; this was a different tune, sultry and seductive. This time, it wasn't urging him to kill, but to.....what? WHAT??

The pain was unbearable now as the song reached a crescendo. Jiro found that he was fast losing his resistance to fight it off. The tune was overbearing, and overwhelming. He could feel its melody slowly start to spread throughout his body, and he knew it would soon prevail.....

Lightning flashed, and thunder cracked.

Jiro now stood, his irises the color of blood. He had only one thing on his mind, and that was to carry out whatever orders the music told him to.....

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The guest, Jane, was standing in the middle of her room, gazing out the window at the sheets of rain that were pouring down. Every so often, there would be a flash of lightning and a crack of thunder that would make her heart jump in her chest. Jane hated thunderstorms, and this one was no exception. Perfect weather for a murder, she thought sardonically.

Suddenly, Jane's bedroom door opened. She turned, startled, to see who it was. There stood the android, Jiro, shilouetted in the doorway as a brilliant flash of lightning lit up the hallway window behind him. What did he want?

Thunder crashed. It was then that Jane noticed his eyes. They were wild, like the eyes of a man posessed. They were the eyes of a madman.

Jiro crossed the threshhold and strode over to Jane, as she gaped. Fear had seized her; she stood frozen in place, completely unable to move or cry out. Jiro grabbed one of her wrists and jerked her against him. He brought up one hand and caressed her cheek. His eyes lingered on her neck momentarily, and for a split second he remembered what he'd done the last time he'd gone crazy....

"Please don't hurt me," Jane pleaded breathlessly. She had no idea what was going on, and feared that perhaps Jiro wanted to do her in.

A smirk started to spread across Jiro's face as he realized that Jane thought he was going to try and kill her. She couldn't have been further off the mark. His hand left her cheek and his fingertips trailed down over her neck until they reached the top button of her blouse.

Slowly, methodically, Jiro began to pull the buttons off of it, one by one. Jane stood trembling, too shocked and terrified to move even as she started to realize what he intended to do to her. It surprised her; she hadn't thought he was capable of it.

When Jiro had parted her blouse enough, he slipped his hand inside it and rested the palm of his hand on her stomach. He closed his eyes, savoring the feel of warm, soft skin against his fingers. Jane could hear him breathing heavily in her ear, and the emotions that suddenly coursed through her made her head swim.....

Jiro slid his hand up so that it rested on Jane's chest. A pang shot through him as he felt her heartbeat against his palm, symbol of a status he knew he could never fully attain. Suddenly, he jerked Jane against him again and covered her mouth with his. Her lips were soft and wet.

Jane felt as if she'd been touched with a live wire. She wanted to scream, to cry, to do something to let out the feelings that suddenly boiled up inside of her when Jiro kissed her. His lips were hard, and dry. She'd never before kissed a man who hadn't had saliva in his mouth....she was repulsed by this, and yet it still made desire rise within her.

Jiro's fingers wrapped around the front of Jane's bra, and in one swift tug he pulled it free of her body. Jane let out a small gasp as the straps broke and the clasp popped against her back. Her bra fell to the floor as Jiro's hand slid around to rest on the small of her back. The hand that had gripped her wrist now grabbed her arm. Jiro held Jane close against him as he kissed her repeatedly. Jane clung to him with her free hand; it was all she could do to steady herself, so dizzy with emotion was she.

Jane's bed was nearby; Jiro picked her up and carried her over to it, laying her down and covering her body with his, as the music directed him to. Jane knew there was no escaping him now, for he had her pinned. Thunder crashed, and rain smacked the windows as he began to ravish her.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was just past midnight. The storm outside had calmed to a gentle, steady rain, and the lamp on the bedside table cast its warm glow across the clothes draped and strewn about the room. Jane was still in Jiro's arms, and she was now laying on top of him.
Jiro was stroking her hair, as she rested her head on his chest. That tormenting music had finally stopped, and he was now left in stunned disbelief over what he'd just done to the girl in his arms.

Jane could not believe what he'd just done, either. Jiro was a robot--and he'd just taken advantage of her. What made it worse was that she hadn't done anything to try and stop him. She'd given into him, and compromised herself. Jane squeezed her eyes shut, to keep back the hot tears that had begun to build. Oh, how she hated herself.

Jiro could hear Jane attempting to stifle her sobs, and a stab of regret shot through him. He sorely wished he hadn't done what he did to her. But the music had been too strong, and he couldn't stop himself.....

"I'm sorry....I'm so sorry," he murmured, holding Jane close in an attempt to console her. He knew that those words weren't nearly enough to do so, and that they could never erase what had happened that night. But at least they were something. Inwardly, he cursed himself for not being strong enough to fight the music.

Jane made no attempt to hide her tears now. Jiro could feel her thin body shudder with every sob as she cried out her anguish. It tortured him, knowing that he had been the one to bring her to this. Jiro held on to Jane until her sobs subsided and her breathing evened out. He realized that she had fallen asleep.

Jiro sighed, and relaxed his grip on her. How he wished he could indulge in the luxury of sleep like Jane; to blot out everything that had happened that night, even if only temporarily. However, Jiro knew all too well that machines never slept, and that they never forgot.

There was nothing Jiro could do now but wait for morning, with only his thoughts for company.
