Protoman VS. King Episode 2

At the end of the museum, Bass and Megaman met up again. In the long hall, to their surprise, was Protoman.
"Protoman!" Megaman exclaimed.
Protoman did not hear him. "King, I will not allow you to take that robot data!"
"Fool," King answered. "You know that you stand no chance against me or my robots. My army will soon be formed from the battle robot data. You are a robot, too. You should join me. Together, we'll be invincible!"
"No way, King," Protoman answered.
"You'll pay dearly for your foolishness."
"That is the one called King?" Bass asked. "What a weakling! I am the mightiest robot on earth. He's just a punk."
King noticed the two behind Protoman. "Huh? It seems as though two other fools have arrived. I'll allow the Green Devil to dispose of you."
"King! Stop!" cried Protoman.
Protoman charged a shot and fired it at King. However, King jumped over it and got his axe ready.
"Protoman! NO!!!" Megaman shouted. He ran over in front of Protoman and pushed him out of the way. King's axe went through him like a knife through butter. His remains fall to the ground, and exploded. He was gone.
"Megaman! NNOOOO!!!!" Protoman cried.
"What?" Bass said. "No, I was supposed to be the one who destroyed Megaman. You'll pay for this, King!"
And the battle commenced.
