High stakes in Domino. (Part 1)

My fanfic takes place one week before Battle City. Yugi is preparing for the tournament until something unexpected happens and he is cast into a duel with the most powerful foe yet.

It was a sunny day in the town of Domino as yugi was practicing with his duel disk against Joey.

Yugi: Dark Magician finsh off Joey with Dark Magic attack!

Joey: Ah great, that's the third time I lost to you Yug. Ahhhhhh, you're too good or maybe I'm just no good.

Yugi: Cheer up Joey you'll eventually win sooner or later you just need to focus on your opponents strategies and trust in the heart of the cards (p.s. I don't believe in that Heart of the Cards stuff).

Joey: You're right Yug, I may have beaten but I'm still as good as I'll ever be!

As they continued to duel a mysterious person passed by them. He had jet black hair that was spiked in various places and his skin was as white as a ghost. he wasn't very tall but he looked like he did lots of body building. He walked over to Yugi and Joey just as Yugi was finishing Joey off.

???: Yugi Motou I presume?

Yugi: Yeah that's me.

???: Great I have been searching all over Domino for you. My name is Larry Jett.

Joey: My name is...

Larry: I know Joey Wheeler average duelist won 36 duels in your life and came in second place in the duelist kingdom tournament.

Yugi and Joey were flabbergasted.

Larry: You may be wondering how I know so much about you. You see I am an expert duelist. I learn about other duelists and there decks, cards, strategies, everything. So I got an invitation from the world champ Seto Kaiba. He was interested in my research skills and hired me to defeat you in a duel. However there is a certain rule that Seto Kaiba requires of us. If either of us loses the duel then that person is disqualified from entering the Battle City tournament.

Joey: What?! That ain't fair! Grrrrr, I hate that Kaiba! He thinks he's so big he could'nt even beat Pegasus.

Yugi under goes the transformation when Yami takes his place.

Yami: I am willing to duel you under the Battle City rules.

Larry: Hmmmm, yes I will duel you that way but under one condition. We both start off with 8000 LP.

Yami: Agreed!

Larry: *hehehe this fool doesn't know what he is getting himself into. If I defeat him in a duel then Seto Kaiba will reward me big time*.
