A little news from ANN: Last week we reported that Fox had informed IGN Filmforce they weren't going to be making a live action DBZ movie. Our article was based on an IGN Filmforce report that was in fact a copy of a KyleHebert.com article that was several months old. Yesterday, Variety reported that Hollywood screenwriter Ben Ramsey has a half-million-dollar deal with 20th Century Fox to do the Dragonball Z adaptation. According to Variety, the project is being overseen by Peter Kang, Fox's VP of production. Ben Ramsey penned the script for The Big Hit and Marvel's upcoming big screen adaptation of Luke Cage. Kang's office confirmed to Anime News Network that the movie is a Fox project. They informed us that there is currently no projected release date. So it looks like they're still doing it...Although it might suck, I'm looking forward to seeing how it will be done.

It's been such a long time since they started planning this, wow. Still, I'm interested to see how they manage to pull it off. ~the idea of a live-action movie for DBZ always intrigued me~
