Translator Bug possibility

I tried putting in the kanji for fire (火) and it's trying to tell me that means day when for a fact, I know that's wrong. And it's trying to tell me that it's 'hi'. And i even tried the kanji alone before I came to you. I even tried putting in the romaji version of 'hi' and still got 'day'. I tried ka (which is what the kanji really means) in romaji and it gave me 'sent, order'. I think your translator might be broken or might just be getting the wrong words (i.e. what japanese is notorious for is having two different words with the same sound but one is the sound for the word when it's in kanji form and the other is actually that sound in it's normal form). Just a heads up. | |
