Well, get rid of it. That is if you’re interesting in having a popular website.

It's annoying for your visitors to have to watch a "commercial" before entering your site and cause you to lose a substantial portion of them who would be browsing your actual content right now.

There is also another problem. Search engines often base their ranking of a website based from what on its main page, having little or no content a search engine spider can read on your main page can severely damage your rating in such engines.

Bottom line, there pretty, but that’s it! =\

intresting. i never thought of it that way. but it all depends on what type of anime website your trying to make i think. if you want something small and personal to one particular anime then it's ok.

On the other hand if you wanna do a little bit of everything it's exactly as he said. the search engine ranking makes or breaks your site.
