The first thing the viewer notices within the first 2 mins of Bastard is that this isnt gonna be a crisp drawn anime series such as Cowboy Bebop, it has anime style that was common in the early 90's. With that said the anime is far from being bad think of it on par with Record of Lotoss.

The story, well its fairly straight forward with some really good twists and turns, there are quite a few touching parts but even more that will make you laugh and laugh. The writers definetly intended to make it part comedy. The fighting in the Movie is mostly wizards and sorcerors style where they summon spells and so on..... The battles themselves were very well done and easily kept my attention. The gore and nudity content is there but its not overwhelming and it fits with well with the movies style.

The characters are done well enough that your able to feel for them and want them to persavere. I think Dark Schneider was a great character and is in my top 10 characters for anime, his back-up cast were good but it was and should be the main character that shines.

Anyways highly recommended
