Rank: 269 | | Hideki grew up on a farm, but now he is moving to the big city so he can attend prep school and enter into college. When he gets to the big city, he find he has to make a lot of adjustments. Everyone there seems to have a persocon, an andriod that functions much like a personal computer. Unfortunately, on a students budget, he has no hope of affording one. But what's this? He finds a discarded one in an alley! However, it is missing software, so he has to teach it how to do everything. Chobits is a 26 episode series based on the relationship of Hideki and his persocon Chii. It is a romance, with a lot of Ecchi comedy. The plot is excellent, as it addresses a lot of serious themes, while still maintaining a light hearted mood. The animation is amazing, being a new series, I would expect no less. It is definitely a must see if you enjoy love stories (which is what this is) that have a good laugh mixed in with it. |

Rank: 529 | What do you think about Chobits? The animation? anything else? well, here is some opinions of mine of chobits.
So far i see Chobits as a very fine anime. I love the animation of it compared to others like Yu Yu hakusho or DBZ etc,... *no offense to those animes*. The plot in Chobits is pretty good, i dont want to give it out for those who havent watch it so I'll keep my mouth closed, but i can say that chobits is avery sweet anime , the characters and all. There are only 26 episodes of chobits, not alot of episodes but enough to explain the meaning of chobits. One of the main characters, Chii is very adorable, im sure that alot of people love her no matter what, her way is kind though she is only a computer (perscon). Ther may be some emotional episodes but there isnt much. Well, thats all for now!! g2g!
fact: chobits comes from the japanese name Cho- Hi-tech computer like thing and bits- litte computer bits and/or chips. |

Rank: | Chobits is a great anime in entirity. It's funny, it's got good art, it's everything an otaku would expect from CLAMP.
The story follows a Japanese farmer, Hideki Motosuwa, an 18 year old ronin, who does not get excepted into the college of his choice. He decides to go to cram school in Tokyo.
Once he arrives, he realizes everybody but him has a persocon, which are human-like robots that can store information, call people, go on the internet, and even do chores for you. Hideki really wants one, but the price to buy a Persocon is way too high for his budget.
Hideki stays at an apartment complex named, "Kabu Jougasaki". He there meets Chitose Hibiya, the land-lord of the center. He thinks she is very pretty. He also meets Shinbo, who will be going to cram school with him. They become good friends. Hideki also meets Shinbo's mobile persocon, Sumomo!
Later, Hideki went to the supermarket, and as he walked out, and by a pile of garbage, finds one! Initially, Hideki thinks the Persocon is busted. He takes the persocon and carries her home. Hideki looks for the switch to turn her on and later finds the spot. She awakens. But, the only word the persocon can say is, "Chii". And Hideki names her just that, "Chii!" Since that's all she can say, Hideki must introduce this persocon to the world.
There's something mysterious about Chii. Is she un-operational? Is she.. a Chobits? You'll have to watch the anime and see, but I really love what I've seen so far.
