If your into CLAMP's work and would love a short, depressing story then Clover is for you. Taking place in the future the story is based around socerer children called ''Clovers" (that explains the title, one less thing to worry about). Their powers are based on a level of one-leafs (the weakest) to the four-leafs (the most powerful... kinda figured that one ^^) the main character Sue, is a four-leaf Clover that is to live in solitude for her whole life by the rules of parlament. (Which is techincally a council of wizards that even with there powers combined they could not control her). For if she were to hold someone dear to her that person would "inherit the power to destroy the world". But the wizard Ko has a soft spot for Sue and allows her to talk to a singer called Ora that is a one-leaf clover (also having the power to know when shes to die) and by talking to Ora she learns of a guy called Kazuhiko who delivers her to happiness later. So after Ora dies she goes into more of a land slide depression and two years later is delivered to happiness by Kazuhiko. (happiness really is she falls in love with Kazuhiko and kills herself, and in the making nearly kills him too) It may not sound sad as you read it now but really when you pop it open you'll really feel sad for Sue and if you're a softie, cry. Its really a good read but if you don't like movie style mangas... this, sadly isn't for you.
