I just finished watching the D.N. angel anime series twice and I love it... its cute and fun to watch . its about Daisuke Niwa a clumsy, kind hearted fourteen year old with a secret... in him lives the legendary phantom thief Dark Mousy.
Dark exists in the Niwa bloodline and appears when the Niwa boy is fourteen and in love..
The story begins with Dark appearing after Daisuke is rejected by his love Risa..who calls him a friend and nothing more..
The plot developes with Dark making his legendary steals and slowly we learn why.
On the other side we find Satoshi Hiwatari, a child prodigy, at the age of 14 finished with university and the Commander In Chief of the army. However studying in junior high with the rest of them to try to live a normal life. He too seems to have a secret, in him lives Dark's twin brother Krad, who is nothing but evil and wishes to take over Satoshi's body along with destroying Dark and helping him in this is Satoshi's step father.

The anime continues with everyone after Dark, including Risa who appears to have fallen in love with him and follows him around. Dark enjoys the attention till he realizes that Risa is seriously in love with him and tells her that the only woman who has captured his heart is Rika. Who turns out to be Risa's grandmother.
Dusing the while, Riku, Risa's twin sister and the more tomboyish of the two, is realizing that she has feelings for Daisuke while he only has feelings for Risa.

Its an intresting anime and I for one had alot of fun watching it.

However a few things left me wondering..they didnt show why or how Dark and Rika fall in love... and they dont tell why Krad is out to destroy Dark...apparantly if Krad takes over Satoshi's body he is complete then why destroy Dark?..
And what is Satoshi's stepfather after?
I guess for those of us who haven't read the manga this may remain a mystery.
but all in all .. a must see anime for all those action cum romantics!!!

Honestly, D.N. Angel is the best anime ever created. It's funny, it has romance and it has action with really cute characters to boot. It's about this boy, Niwa Daisuke, who turns into the phantom theif on his 14th birthday. His main purpose as Dark (the phantom theif) is to steal things and seal them away. In order for Niwa to get rid of Dark, he must make the Holy Maiden fall in love with him (that is whoever he has a crush on). The animation to this is totally awesome too! It's really *clean* and the creators of this draw very well (such good looking characters...). This anime series is very good, but episodes 3-17 don't really help develop the plot, it's mainly Dark stealing things. Although that may seem boring, it's actually very entertaining and it helps you get to know the characters better. It really is an anime worth watching!
