Fushigi Yûgi is another book for me to worship. Its about a chipper high school student named Miaka who is despratley cramming for her entrance exams she and her friend Yu are both trying to get into together. Later on they find a weird book called the Universe of Four Gods and it transports them into a totally different world. And guess what its all based on an ancient chinese legend and, get this, the person who wrote the Universe of Four Gods KILLED HIMSELF AND HIS OWN DAUGHTER a while after the book was finished being written!!! What next an uuugly old hag who heals the good guys when they really need it and helps them along on their jorney to find the celestial warriors and save a kingdom?! Acually yes.

I love Inu-Yasha. He a hotty or what?!

Fushigi Yuugi is known as 'Mysterious Play' in English.This anime is about a 15 year old girl Miaka and her best friend Yui being transported into a book.In the book,they are in ancient china.There,they were almost caught by some thugs,and rescued by one of the Suzaku Seven;Tamahome.Yui,was transported back to the real world while Miaka went in serach of Tamahome who she later fell in love with.There,she was invited to be the Priestess of Suzaku and help to gather the Suzaku Seven to summon Suzaku;the god-beast of South.After getting over many obstacles,the Suzaku Seven is gathered.But Miaka found out that Yui was raped and she became the prietess of Sieryu to have her revenge on Miaka who she thought has betrayed her.After a long battle,the two friends were together again and the Suzaku Seven came to the real world to aid Miaka in defeating one of the sieryu seven;naruko.Tamahome was seperated as being a character in the book,they cannot be together.Tamahome with the aid of Taiitsukun,was reborn as Tama in the real world.Tama lost all the memories of his past life but he remembered that he had came to find the girl he loved.He worn the ring which Miaka gave him and Miaka was shocked to see him.The couple was together in the end.

Fifteen year old Yuuki Miaka with her friend Hongo Yui finds an old Chinese novel in a hidden section of the library. The girls are sucked into the book, "Shijin Tenchishou" (The Universe of the Four Gods), and find themselves in a world much like ancient China.(she always knew books were bad for your health!)
Soon, Yui returns to the real world, and begins to read the book. What she is reading is what happens to Miaka Yúki!

Miaka Yúki is a normal ditzy, food crazy young girl after being wisked away on a magical adventure. Miaka meets tamahome a young handsom charater who joins her on her jouney!

Miaka finds her way to the palace of Konan, and the Emperor, Hotohori, asks her to become the Priestess of Suzaku [Suzaku no Miko]. Miaka Yúki agrees, and her quest to find the Seven Seishi of Suzaku begins.

If she succeeds, not only will she save the land, a wish will be granted to her. Incidentally, this same wish will be bestowed to whoever can read the book through to its entirity, but from the moment one starts reading, like Miaka Yúki, that person becomes a part of the story.

Eventually Yui the best friend of miaka is also brought to this magical world, and Miaka Yúki's brother Keisuke, reads the story. Yui becomes the Seiryuu no Miko at the request of Kutou's emperor and one of the Seiryuu Seishi, Nakago. Miaka Yúki falls in love with Suzaku Seishi Tamahome, but their relationship is constantly interrupted throughout the series. Yui also loves Tamahome, which creates some confusion...

Miaka Yuki, a 3rd year junior high school student,finds an old book in the library called THE UNIVERSE OF THE FOUR GODS. The moment she opens it, she is transpored to the world inside the book.
Once there, Miaka is attacked by a ruffin but saved by a handsome boy. The moment she's saved, however, she finds herself back in the real world.
Miaka is under great pressure to do well on her entrance of her school. It all becomes too much for her, though, and after arguing with her mother over a trivial matter she escapes to the library,, open the book and returns to the mysterious world between its covers.
It is the beggining of Miaka's adventure in that mystirious world. But the question is: Is the handsome boy who save her still around?

Fushigi Yuugi, also known as Mysterious Play, is about a young student named Miaka. (+Twitch+ The lucky girl...) Miaka is naive and always hungry. She becomes Suzaku No Miko (Priestess of Suzaku) and is transported into a magical world of ancient China, which is actually a book created by an unknown author. In order for Miaka to save the world she must gather all of the seishi and call to Suzaku. However, her friend Yui was also transported to the world but in another country. Yui, thinking that Miaka has betrayed her, becomes the Seiryuu No Miko in Kutou country and becomes Miaka's rival because she also has to gather her seishi and call for Seiryuu. There are many problems, inside and out. This show is about love, humor, fantasy, and about everything else. The bad thing is this series is WAY too long and Miaka being her poor-self. -.-; Many cute, sad, and emotional adventures. The thing to watch in Fushigi Yuugi is all the hot guys! +Drools.+
