Posts: 4 Score: 33 Rank: 32 | This anime is a long one, kind of like Dragon ball. It is really good, especially the comedy. Shippou and Miroku are the fuel for that fire, always teasing Inu yasha and Kagome. Miroku's attempts to have any beautiful girl he mets to bare his children are hilarious.
The romance between Inu yasha and Kagome is beautiful and definitely make it worth the watch. There is also the strained relationship between Miroku and Sango. They are both afraid to let themselves love each other because Miroku has a cursed hand that will kill him someday and Sango isn't sure if she can trust Miroku with her heart since he seems to be a player.
Lastly, it is the never ending battle against one demon, Naraku. It seems no matter how hard they try, Naraku can never be killed. He is a demon that cursed Miroku's family, killed Sango's family and caused a dying Kikyo (by Naraku's hand) , whom Inu yasha loved, to bind him to a sacred tree until Kagome freed him.
Everyone will love this series! |

One day, while inside one of the old buildings on her land, she gets pulled into a well by a giant centipede, due to the fact that the ancient shikon jewel resides in her body.
Next stop: Futile Japan! There she awakens the demon Inuyasha, and accidentally shatters the shikon jewel. The story escalates from there as Kagome and Inuyasha's journey to recover all of the jewel shards, while making new allies and the dangerous enemy named Naraku, who tries to thwart them as often as possible.
Where to start? Inuyasha was, at one point in time, a very nice show. It had everything. Action, drama, school girls, comedy, and cat boys. However, after all the history and all the hype, you just have to draw the line SOMEWHERE.
You could start at the frist episode and love it, then stop watching for a few months and STILL know exactly what's happening. Because nothing on that show changes. Except the quality, of course.
With each 25 minutes that i wasted watching this show, it almost seemed to noticably start sucking. The quality became worse and worse, the plot ever more exhausted.
I give it a three out of ten, only because about 1/3 of Inuyasha is worth watching. Before you go any further, just turn off the TV and go do something worth while. Walk the dog or something Your OWN, not Inuyasha. >_> |

Posts: 0 Score: 5 Rank: 244 | | InuYasha is a fairytale sort of adventure. It involves a 15 year old girl, Kagome Higurashi, who falls into a mystical well and ends up in the Warring States Era into Inuyasha's Time. Though, at this time, half demon InuYasha is bound by a spell to a tree known as the Tree of Ages in the Forest of InuYasha. Kagome is caught being in the forest and is taken to a village. There she is discovered to resemble the dead priestess, Kikyo, who was also the lover of InuYasha that bound him to the tree. Being chased by the demon who grabbed her into the well, Kagome runs back into the forest in which InuYasha resides. She unleashes InuYasha from the tree, breaking the spell casted on him, which could only mean one thing. It is here where she is realized to be the reincarnation of Kikyo who protected the Shikon no Tama, a jewel that enables both demons and humans to become stronger, that was in Kagome's body. Making her a target. InuYasha slays the demon and goes after Kagome because he wants to become a full fledged demon, then special beads are bound to him by Kaeda, Kikyo's younger sister, putting Kagome in charge of his soul somehow. Kagome later finds herself into trouble again by bandits who also desire the sacred jewel. While caught up in this a demon bird steals the sacred jewel. Working with Inuyasha, Kagome aims her arrow at the bird and mistakenly shatters the jewel into shards that are scattered everywhere. Now InuYash and Kagome must work together to find the sacred jewel fragments. Along this journey they encounter many friends, enemies, and secrets. Watch how the characters in this change and work together to defeat demons and find their destiny and fate alond the adventure. |

Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 1002 | The show inuyasha is very complex. It has a normal 15 year old girl and a demon from the feudel era. Kagome was a normal girl with crushes and math homework. Tat is untill her 15th birthday when she visits the well on her proprety to find her cat. But while shes in there a cenipede demon attacks her demanding the shikon jewel. thankfully she gets away but when she climbs out she finds herself in feudel japan. while shes there she gets attacked by the centepede demon which rips the jewel from her side! the demon then pins her to the same tree as the formidable demon, Inuyasha. as soon as she touches him he awakens from his 50 year long slumber. he still cant move due to the sacred arrow in his chest. he tells Kagome that he can help her. So despite the warnings of the peopl around her she pulls it out. Then the story begins. after Kagome shatters the jewel her and Inuyasha have to go out and collect all the pieces before any other demons or corrupt humans get ahold of the pieces.

Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 981 | Inu-Yasha is a great anime. The story line is amazing, the characters are awesome as well. The best character is Kikyo. Her deep thinking about her past, her great archery, and wonderful personality!
Well Inu-Yasha is also an excellent anime to start getting into, if you are getting a intrest for anime. It gives you an understanding of the Japenese culture. What they dressed like, as in kimono's and very different sandels. They aren't updated like ours are now. But yeah! Anyways!
It's an excellent show! Anyone who wants to can take an intrest in it and probably begin to love it.
Oh! Forgot to mention...Naraku, he is an evil character, he does horrible things to try and keep Inu-Yasha and his friends from getting the jewel shards, so Inu-Yasha the Hanyou, can become a full blooded demon... | Contributions: Reviews: 1 |

Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 979 | Inuyasha is the coolest anime! It's about young 15 year old girl named Kagome. Kagome goes after her cat and ends up at the Bone Eaters Well. Her time is present-Japan. A centipede demon grabs her and pulls her in. The demon says that the Shikon no tma ( the jewel of four souls) is inside her. The demon pulls her to the Feudal Era where she finds a young man with dog-like ears. Kaede and the villagers say she is the Reincarnation of Kikyo. Kikyo is a 50 year old priestess who protected the Shikon no tma from demons or anyone who wants to use it for evil ways. The centipede demon attacks and Kagome runs to find Inuyasha awake. He calls her Kikyo. She says that her name is Kagome. The demon who was about to devour her, when she was desperate enough to release Inuyasha from the tree. Kaede puts the sacred beads on Inuyasha. Kagome can now call a command like SIT to stop him anyway. Inuyasha saves her. A crow-like demon comes and steals the Shikon no tma! Kagome shuts a sacred arrow at the demon, but also hits the jewel and shards it.
Now the Journey is on collecting jewel shards, enemies and friends like Myouga the flea, Shippo the fox demon who likes playing tricks, Miroku the pervertive monk and with a hell-hole in his hand, Sango a demon slayer who lost her family to Naraku a evil half demon, and Kiara the changing feline that looks cute, but is strong demon cat! They also find the Leader of the Wolf Demon Tribe, Koga who wants Kagome as his mate. He has two jewel shards in his legs. (New episodes on Tuesdays, at 12:30 am on Adultswim,CartoonNetwork! Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 969 | Inuyasha is the coolest Anime ever! One thing puzzles me why did they take it off saturdays? Inuyasha is great with the action, drama, comedy, love, and a little here and there. As it figuares that Inuyasha may be one of the top ten animes in this lab!
My favorite character is Kikyo. She's a powerfula nd sacred priestess who protected the Shikon Jewel from demons or bandits to use it for evil puposes. She wasn't allowed to have any emotions or she'll be weakened. When she fell in love she was wide open for Naraku attack by betraying the young lovers Inuyasha and Kikyo. Then she sealed Inuyasha to the Sacred Tree. Her arrow waw filled with all her love and happiness so she used those two things to seal him. She died and with her departure of the living the Sacred Jewel of 4 souls.Kikyo died in a broken heart only by Naraku a once before bandit Onigumo. The bandit loved Kikyo. He called upon the demons to devour his soul or flesh. Unfortunately, all the demons hated Kikyo. So they killed her.
Well, that's why Inuyasha gets exciting remembering all this is Hard! Well Inuyasha: Channel Adult Swim, Time: 12:30 for Monday through Thurday, Saturday 11:00(TOON) | Contributions: Reviews: 1 |

Posts: 0 Score: 2 Rank: 498 | Ah! Inuyasha...what can anyone say to add on to this jouyous piece of work. The characters are well thought out and the story plot just keeps getting more intriguing as the season moves on. NOt to say, this show has some of the better dubbed English voices to date. Sure the Japanese can bring over the emotion but the American dubbed voice actors have their advantages, too for example when the moment really calls for it, they sure can pull you in to the storyline definitely. And the villains, hahah, do they know how to make you mad!! All in all, this show is pretty much a top contendor for one of those classics that helps revolutionizes anime to the main public instead of turning it into one of those cheesy types made for kids ( can't say any names but have you seen the anime Anime4Kids have made, blah!)

Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 942 | Inu Yasha is a Feudal Fairy Tale about a group of different working grouped people that befriend eachother and go around finding pieces of the Shikon Jewel, and use it against their enemies.
Kagome Higurashi is a 15 year old which happens to be the reincarnation of a 500 year old priestess named Kikyou.
One day Kagome unfortunately falls down a well and gets transported into a world of ancestors and demons. About 500 years back into the past really. And so she is attacked by demons and saved by one heroic halfbreed one, though he didn't seem that way at first. The halfbreed called Inuyasha and Kagome is then joined by others such as the lecherous monk Miroku, the demon slayer Sango, her pet, the two- tail, cat demon Kirara, and Shippou, the young fox demon.
Together, they seek out the jewel fragments and meet along the way other characters and enemies.
Eventually spending alittle more time with one another, they learn to trust and respect eachother.

Posts: 11 Score: 2 Rank: 497 | Kagome leads a fairly normal life, in spite of her weird family. Her house is a thousand-year-old Japanese temple, and her grandfather talks about the history of the house endlessly(it gets annoying). Legend has it that the old well on the temple grounds keeps a horreble ancient monster at bay; Kagome never believed in those legends, until now. The well opens up and sucked Kagome inside — taking her to an ancient time of enchanted forests and giant demons.
Kagome is soon confronted by her odd resemblance to Kikuyo, the girl who controlled the magical Shikon no Tama talisman and imprisoned the legendary half-demon Inu-Yasha. Upon entering this weird world, Kagome is attacked by a demon hunting the Shikon no Tama; she unwittingly releases Inu-Yasha from his imprisonment, only to find that he's no hero. | Contributions: Reviews: 1 |

Posts: 1 Score: 2 Rank: 477 | Any anime fan, be he/she an enthusiast or a sporadic viewer, should acknowledge the genius of Inu-Yasha. The interesting plots and twists of the show are quite imaginative due to their interesting incorporation of Japanese history.
BRIEF HISTORY
The main character is a half-demon (1/2 dog-demon 1/2 human) named Inu-Yasha (duh ^_*). Like so many other demons, he is after the Shikon-no-tama, a powerful jewel that is used to bestow the desires of anyone who possess it. But like so many individuals who covet what does not belong to them, Inu-Yasha is punished for his greed. He is sealed to the Tree of Life by the arrow of his beloved, Kikyo - a priestess charged to guard the jewel. In the process Kikyo dies and takes the jewel with her in death.
Enter Kagome, an intelligent 14-year-old girl living in present day Japan. Life for her is just like any other 9th grader, normal for the most part. That is until her 15th birthday when she finds herself falling throw a well into Feudal Japan. There she finds out she is the reincarnation of Kikyo and has the Shikon-no-tama inside of her. She learns this little tidbit the hard way when it is ripped out of her side from a spider demon. While trying to save herself she stumbles upon Inu-Yasha, still in suspended animation. When he senses her he believes she is Kikyo. While the two try to retrieve the jewel, Kagame accidentally hits it with an arrow and it shatters and spreads over Japan into the hands of evil. This sets the scene for the rest of the series. Kagome, Inu-Yasha and a host of friends, Miroku, a perverted priest, Sango, a demon slayer, and Shippo, a young fox demon, all of which hate a certain demon named Naraku, gather the shards and battle demons in hopes to finally defeat Naraku.
In the opinion of this viewer Inu-Yasha rocks, and that's not said just because he's hot! (Yes that is a little disturbing but others think so too…right????????) It has sweet love scenes (when Kagome and Inu-Yasha are not arguing so that’s not often), jealousy, revenge, action-packed duels, death…all the makings of a great anime. Actually some television shows don’t even have that. It deserves more than a 10!!! The songs for the intros and outros are fantastic. All of the singers have beautiful voices and have composed wonderful songs. The characters are interesting and believable. The stories have a way of sucking in the viewer and its imperative to see every single episode otherwise life just doesn’t seem complete….. Okay that was a little overboard but Inu-Yasha is totally awesome and if possible everyone should see it. Then you’ll want to see the movies and buy all the season box sets and you’ll be spending you whole pay check on a weird obsession – no, no that’s just me (kidding ^_^).

Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 686 | Oh man, this show is the greatest! The characters are awesome, the dubbing is great, and the plot rules! It's great to know that there is some anime on TV that isn't horribly disfigured to make it for kids. *cough* 4KidsEntertainment *cough* Good first impression for people who are just getting into anime.
The best character, in my opinion, is Inuyasha's not-so-nice half-brother, Sesshomaru. I think he's the top contender for the best dub voice, but that's nothing. He's such a calm, collected guy, nd he's even got somewhat of a warm heart, especially when it comes to Rin, the cute little girl he saves. The second best character would have to be the great Inuyasha himself. He's such an arrogant guy on the outside, but as sweet as can me once you get to know his character. The third best character is definitely Kikyo, the tragic village priestess who died during a ruthless trick played by the evil Naraku. She sealed Inuyasha to a tree before dying, thinking Inuyasha had betrayed her, but don't think that'll be the last of her! (Partly because a main character, Kagome, is her reincarnation ^_~)
The dubbing of this show is so close to perfect it's scary. Despite the corniness that every show, even the great ones, sometimes has (Though it is very rare on Inuyasha) the dubbing is nevertheless fantastic. The voices are awesome, though sometimes I find Miroku's dialect a tad annoying. Inuyasha's and Sesshomaru's dub voices are awesome; they click with the character.
The plot of this show is truly amazing, and the great part of it is, it's not too compliated. They, meaning the characters, often reflect on the major parts of the plot, so it doesn't take too long, no matter where you are when you start watching the show, to catch up on all the info. It starts out as Inuyasha and Kagome just having to find the shards of the sacred Shikon Jewel, but the plot thickens after Kikyo comes in, followed by the lecherous, easy-going monk Miroku. Once they dsicover that the main villian of the series, a demon called Naraku, it suddenly becomes more of a race to get all of the shards first. Who will win? Naraku, or Inuyasha? Watch, dammit, and find out for yourself! |

Posts: 5 Score: 2 Rank: 415 | Inuyasha has the most terrific story line ive seen of any anime ..
Inuyasha has some weaknesses though like how kikyo is brought back and some of the animation is bad like when inuyasha uses his Tetsuiga it shows a black backround and white scrapes no actual action --' that totally sucks.
The strong point is how Kagome , a girl that is in love with the half demon inuyasha cares for him even though when kikyo comes back from the dead he totally fallsin love with her once he finds out that onigumi also known as naraku betrayed them.
Naraku is very evil he did so many bad things he nevers dirties his own hands he lets others do his dirty work like killing people.
If you havent experienced watching Inuyasha your missing out.

Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 619 | | Fans of Inuyasha from the TV series on Cartoon Network have only tasted a fraction of what the Entire series has to offer. I personally have seen more than the first season and am up to episode 102. There's a lot to be said, though, between the CN version and the unedited subtitled versions. First off, the CN versions tries well at keeping to the true hillarity of some episodes, but if you were to see the original unedited versions, you'd bust a gut laughing at all of the hillarity. Also, there is "some adult content" in the CN versions, but if you watch the unedited subtitled version, you'll notice that there is a lot of hillarity that is left out as well as a lot of important things relationship wise. And let's not even get started on the pronunciation of the character names! Anyway, what else is there to say about Inuyasha but that it is a very well done Anime when viewed in it's original, unedited, subtitled (for those who don't understand Japanese) form, and that that the producer's of the Americanized version should try to do a better job at keeping to the essence of this truly classic Action/Comedic/Love story. |

Posts: 11 Score: 23 Rank: 47 | Yup, InuYasha is one of the greatest animes ever. But really overated. Adult Swim says its for ages 18 and up, when it's fine for ages 12 and up. I mean sure there's a lot of violence and swear and occasional nudity, but it's not so bad as to saying it's for 18-year-olds. How do I know this? Because most of the people I know who watch these shows are between ages 12-15! COME ON!
InuYasha is great subbed or dubbed. Some of the voice acting in the dubbed is horrible though. The voice actors of Sango, Miroku, and Kikyo have no expression or feeling in them. Kagome's voice actor REALLY didn't need to do an annoying, preppy valley girl voice. Shippo needed a little kid to do his voice. They should've chosen Daveigh Chase (who was the voice of Lilo in "Lilo and Stitch", Chihiro in "Spirited Away", and played the murderous Samara in "The Ring") to voice act for him. She is excellent. Shippo has the most kawaii voice in the Japanese version! I think the best voice actor would have to be Richard Cox who voice acts InuYasha. He does a flawless "ticked off" voice, and just sounds like InuYasha.
The story line seems to drag at the first two or three episodes, but it slowly makes progress. Though they skipped some stories and scenes from the manga, it was quite faithful to it. I mean, come on, do you think Card Captor Sakura was faithful to the manga? NO. The idea of it was well-thought-up. Come on, could YOU think up something like this? Takahashi remains faithful to Japan in the Feudal times, but adds some of the Japanese myth and religon in to make it even better.
Overall, InuYasha really is an enchanting show. After each episode, you really wish more and more that you could become one of the InuYasha characters and go on adventures and such. This is a must-see for any anime fan. |

Posts: 0 Score: 12 Rank: 101 | InuYasha is an exceptional anime (and manga). It's very imaginative (Rumiko Takahashi is a genius!) and well-thoughtout. The characters are lovable, with great character development. InuYasha has to be my favorite. He's feisty, rebellious, stubborn, yet has a soft, sensitive side to him. Richard Cox does a wonderful job at voice-acting for InuYasha. Kagome's voice-actress needs to improve on voice-acting for her... The animation is gorgeous and breath-taking, especially the animation at the beginning song, "Change the World" and ending song "My Will". The songs are also something to admire. Though they're in Japanes, you don't seem to care, as they're catchy and beautiful. It has some GREAT humor in the show as well.
I reccomend this to everyone who's age 12 or older as it contains very violent violence, language, and some nudity (but you can't really see anything, and it's usually because Kagome is taking a bath, but in the manga you can see everything). But it's quite a tame show though. Watch it. NOW! (or read the manga!) |
