Posts: 0 Score: 1 Rank: 624 | Oh no. Who would have thought that Minzuno Ryo, the mind behind LODOSS NO SENKI could come up with something so poor? Worse yet, why have Kadokawa Shoten and Group SNE, who also produced LODOSS TO SENKI would allow the use of such ridiculously obvious ?similarities? between LODOSS TO SENKI AND CRYSTANIA NO DENSETSU (two characters have actually been taken from LODOSS TO SENKI). And even worse, why has Minzuno Ryo written a story which changes every 10 minutes of the show?!
Let?s see if the er??plots? right:
300 years ago, King Ashram, Pirotess and their fleet are dead in the water, then King Ashram starts shouthing at a rock when a mysterious god drops the rock on their laps which turns out to be an island. Move forward to "present-day," (which looks exactly the same as 300 years ago) when our young hero, Leydo (who bears a peculiar resemblance to Parn), finds himself on the run after his father and mother are killed by the army. Their accursed island (Alecrast?!?) is surrounded by vasts oceans and a gigantic wall. Backed against a wall (literally), a mysterious voice invites Leydo and his party into the mysterious lands - Crystania.
This is the basic story, but before you know it, the plot automatically changes as soon as they enter Crystania, and continues changing every 10 minutes, which makes it even harder to understand what this is all about. New characters are throw randomly into the plot just to fill up some space for a sword duel, and too many ridiculous things happen throughout the movie for a stupid reason or for no reason whatsoever.
And finally just to round things up: voice acting is poor, there is no fixed plot, and the graphics and animation are just too painful to look at.
This isn?t an anime show, it?s a device of mental torture. Avoid at all cost
