Rank: 1078 | | I really liked Naruto! It's my favorite anime and I've seen A LOT! The story is about a 12 year old named Naruto who is fighting for acknowledgement from his villagers and more. When he was just an infant, the 4th Hokage sealed the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox (Kyuubi in sub) inside of him to protect the villagers. The sealing took the 4th's life. Now, despite the fact that the 4th wanted people to reghard him as a hero, everyone looks down on him, thinking that he is the demon fox that took there loved ones lives and ect. The kids of the village don't know about this, but they look down on Naruto too simply because everyone else does. As the story progresses, it follows Naruto's acheivments and failures as a ninja and the other characters lives too. In part two, (Naruto Shippuuden) the story plot does move slowly, but that's just because they don't have enough manga yet! Naruto is funny, sad, has lots of twists and turns, and can make you angry at times (SASUKE!!!) so I'd say it's one of the best animes out there! I'd reccommend watching it in sub. If you've watched anime before, you know how dubs are! ^_^; |

Rank: 509 | Naruto is an anime about a Genin named Naruto Uzumaki. 12 years ago, a Nine-Tailed Fox attacked Konoha. The fourth Hokage used a sealing jutsu to store the demon inside Naruto. Now Naruto is all grown up, but he still endures the hatred of others in the village. Luckily for him, not everybody hates him. Iruka Umino knows Naruto's secret, but doesn't care if he has the demon inside him because he understands the pain Naruto feels. He even takes Naruto out for ramen sometimes.

Rank: 244 | | Well well well. What can i say about Naruto. It's an awsome energetic anime that deserves a chance from everybody. Naruto is a boy born of a creature called the 9 tailed fox which was known for its strength. Haven being born from this Naruto has special abilities that developes as the story moves along. Growing up was hard for him because he never had parents. Literally. everybody always looked down on him because of "what" he came from. So he would do crazy things just to get everybodies attention. I'm not going to go into all the details of that part of the story because you would have to see it for yourself to understand. Anyways he trying to become Hagukosa, however you spell it, this is the person that's in charge of a particular clan. To do this him and 2 others are put in a group based on the balances of their powers, to train together under a specific person. The 2 people are Sauska and Sagura. Look at the story to find out what so significant about this group. It might look like a kiddy show at first glance to some people but if you look at it, you'll love it. It'll probably be better than most anime you've seen. |

Rank: 82 | Ok Naruto is a anime were Naruto's teamates think he's a total idiot. And this is how thw whole "who likes who idea". Ok for starters, Sakura likes Sasuke, Naruto likes Sakura. Then Hinata likes Naruto, Kiba likes Hinata. Ino likes Sasuke, Chouji likes Ino and Shikamaru likes Temari (you can totally tell in Shupidden xD). Gaara likes him self (xD) and Kankuro is an idiot =). Then theres the missions. You'll proply see that they do this A LOT because there ninjas. The mission I think is funny is when they chase after the cat xD. The end of that is when the cat scathes the heak out of Naruto's face and yells "I HATE CATS!" into the microphone when he's talking to Kakashi.

Naruto has a lot of characters that have there own style. Each character has a background and the show puts different problems in the characters way to overcome.The main character (Naruto), is on a quest to become hakage, which the highest ranging ninja that defend the village.He wants to be recognized by his friends around him by becoming hakage. He goes threw a hard time before he meets new friends that change his life and gives him hope of becoming recognized. He has his own ninja way to follow. Evey character has a story behind them that defines who they are and they all have a different ninja way.Its a great show that has a good story telling nitch. Ones you get to see the characters and what they try to achieve it is exciting to watch. |

Rank: 177 | | I originally watched in the subtitled version but recently dubbed episodes have been released. I hate the english dubbed characters. No one sounds remotely like there supposed too and you may lose some words in translation. It is recommended that you see the subtitled version to get a real feel of this anime. The most ridiculous part of the dubbed version is the censoring of the perverted running nose. It is essential for all anime to have this but for some reason Cartoon Network censored it. Acccording to what I have heard there are over 500 episodes not dubbed yet and that the manga is even farther along then the anime itself. Nonetheless despite it's hangups in the english version it can be enjoyable to watch. |

Rank: 1007 | Naruto is a great anime. One of my faves. It is a story about a ninja Naruto Uzumaki, a ninja with a demon living inside him. The 9 tailed fox. This happened because the 4th Hokage(basically a king of his village) was fightning the 9 tailed fox, he won the battle, but he had to seal him away, and he had to seal of him inside of Naruto. For this reason, the villgers of his village hate him and treat him like dirt. Because of this, Naruto has one goal, to make people stop treating him like garbage, and the only way to do this is to become the next Hokage!
Naruto has a lot of action, and fightning but little or no romance, sure every girl in Naruto's class has a crush on Sasuke, but nothing like boyfriends and girlfriends, which I hope they do some more.
If you never watched Naruto, I suggest you start because it is a great anime. I rate it an 8.5/10 |

Rank: 1002 | Naruto is the best show ever i believe people should watch this anime. well, naruto isa twelve year old orphan posses by the fox demon and because of that everybody hates him except a shy girl name hinata who has a huge crush on him but shes to shy to tell....later on you meet sasuke uchiha the number one rookie ninja and a total hottie.........his goal is to kill his big brother for the revenge of the uchiha clan. Then you meet sakura haruno who has a crush on Sasuke ...ps.. naruto has a crush on sakura.....then youll meet other cool characters like kakashi sensai, neiji,gaara etc... it's all cool cause you get to see the way of the ninja's and you learn a lot about chakra,nenjitsu,taigutse.stamina......well i really recommend naruto the number one hyperactive knucklehad ninja..........!!!!!! it's awesome

Rank: 956 | As the title of the anime suggests, the anime's focused around the life of Uzumaki Naruto. A twelve year old Genin (low-class ninja) that lives in the Hidden Village of Konoha (leaf).
The anime is set in the world of shinobi (ninjas) and practically all of the population are ninjas. This world has a couple of countries like Country of Fire, Country of Wind, Country of Lightning, Country of Earth and the Country of Water. Each country has its own ninja village and Konoha is the village of the Country of Fire. In these vilages, there are four types of ninjas: the genins, chuunins (squad leaders), jounins (elites) and the hokages (village leader).
Konoha had four hokages. Soudaime (the First) and Niidaime (the Second) who built Konoha, Sandaime (the Third) the elderly hokage who was currently running Konoha and the famous Yondaime (the Fourth) who died when he saved Konoha from being destroyed by a Nine-Tail Demon Fox (Kyuubi) by sealing the fox within an illegimate baby who just had his umbilical cord cut off. Now twelve years later, this boy is grown up and wants the village people to recognise his existense by becoming a hokage someday and is also the title character of this brilliant anime.
The most enjoyable thing about 'Naruto' are the characters who have very different and dynamic personalities. Characters such as the whimsical Naruto himself,the kind but particularly strong Rock Lee, Sakura together with her "Inner" Sakura, the handsome and cool-headed Sasuke,the mysterious and sometimes eccentric Kakashi, the hot-tempered Tsunade and the perverted but kickass Jiraiya are among my personal favourites.
This anime has a good mixture elements put into it. It has humour, mystery (for example: what's Kakashi's tru identity), sinister feelings (whenever Orochimaru comes into the picture), sadness (like Sandaime's funeral, when Sasuke "dies" and when Zabuza realizes how much he loved Haku (the lady boy), it has supernatural elements with the mind-blowing ninjutsu (ninja techniques) and the genjutsu (illusionary techniques) and most importantly it has action with the realistic (well almost cos no person easily flies into the air like in Lee's 'Secondary Lotus') taijutsu.
The anime also has a variety of music as well. Whether it makes you cry, feel happy, get hyped or even if you like the mixture of rock and traditional japanese instruments for most of the backing themes, Naruto definitely showcases the best music in anime.
Whether you download it off bittorrent because it sounds like a decent anime or if you heard of it from friends or fans it doesn't change the fact that 'Naruto' is definitely going to be one the best anime in japanese anime history and you truly can't call yourself a fan of anime or a person who knows a lot about anime if you haven't watched it. And when you do watch it, you will be hooked on it like it's some form of drugs and it will be one of the most enjoyable anime experiences of your life. |

Rank: 866 | Just to get this straight i have watched every single naruto episode to date (up episode 120 or is it on 121?) anyway at first i thought wow this is a really good show and the fights are real good. Me myself I dont mind too much to let the plot take the backseat to see some action (thats why i like arnie films) but even i have some limits. When I started seeing periods where fights would last the space of 10-15 episodes it gets too much this added to the fact that there are unneccessary flashbacks. That said the animation overall is pretty good for a series running this long. My personal opinion of the show as of today is fairly average. There are two big problems that i feel prevent this show from becoming a truly great show
a) the duration and frequency of fights
b) unnessessary flashbacks
These factors make the pacing of the plot way too slow and if u notice nothing actually happens for 20 episodes at a time. I feel this show could have been condensed into 60 episodes or 2 seasons and the show would then be one the greatest of all time.
One final thing (SPOILER AHEAD LOOK AWAY IF U DO NOT WANT TO READ THIS) is i felt the series should have ended around episode 80 when the 4th hokage 'should' have just killed Orochimaru and left it at that. With him surviving think just become silly.

Anyway my overall opionion is the show is average and nothing to get too excited about but if u love mindless fights and were a fan of dragonball z (i wasnt a fan of that show by the way) then u'll probably love this even more than dragonball z as this at least has some plot (dont say dragonball z had a plot or ill shoot u!) |

Their wars are waged with ninjas, they can only go to school to learn to be a ninja, way over half the population is a ninja, everyone is a ninja. But to excite this ninja world, the developers added special attacks formed with the spiritual energy that people even in the real world practice to mold, only in naruto they can mold them into water dragons, umpteen clones, and fireballs.
The character is Naruto, a boy with a nine-tails spirit locked in him (was also seen in pokemon). Because of this, he is better than all of the other hard working genins who actually have technique, but somehow Naruto still manages to beat them with one punch.
This is an anime that doesn't know what to be, is it dark like when Orochimaru is there? Is it action like during the pre-lim saga? Is it sad like when Zabuza was recalling his love for Haku (who could be either a guy or a girl)? Is it comical relief? Whatever type of anime you like, Naruto has it all.
One thing I hate about this series is the "encouraging, warrior's spirit, I will prevail, way of ninja" music in the background when Naruto does something. Another thing I hate is Konohamaru, he is so annoying and stupid, not to mention his posse, like that depressed guy with the glasses and the girl that is "as sexy as an adult!!11!1!!1 hehe." But the most annoying thing is when the 2 mix, way of ninja music, and Konohamaru, like in the 4 leave clover special episode.
I don't know who to believe, all of the subbers have different words. In the second opening, one person said "pass through the night" and the other said "go across the darkness."
I came across Naruto while surfing for a decent sounding anime to download via bittorent, as I am sure the majority of people have and will. |

Rank: 742 | Naruto is an anime that mostly all people would like. There are many chracters that one could relate to. Naruto starts out by intoducing the main character Naruto, followed by the other characters namely: Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. Later, Hatake Kakashi is seen.
Naruto is an anime one shouldn't miss, Kishimoto Masaki is the one under this all and also the one who is working with perpective at the Shonen Jump. Kishimoto is a very good artist and one can't disagree with me.
Considering the scenes that have played, Naruto is always found in fighting scenes that are very realistic. There are many exciting moments that have already played in the scenes. There are also corny ones that a person could enjoy. Some flashback scenes are also found to give more background to a character that gives emphasis to certain points. Everyone that has watched it will be touched at the scenes of mized emotions, that can always be done to make the Anime be more heart warming than a usual Anime could do.
All in all, it is a very important creation that engraves memories to the ones that had watched.
There are also eye catching special techniques that one would adore, there are the fighting accesories such as kunais and shurikens.
The characteristics of the main characters aren't that much apart. Haruno Sakura is a shinobi or a ninja that has very good chakra control and like Naruto, she learns how to be strong and not to easily give up. Uchiha Sasuke is an avenger (spoiler) that concerns killing a certain someone that has ruined his past. Sasuke is a human-ice-cube according to some but still has a heart no matter what. Lastly Uzumaki Naruto is a cheerful young shinobi who will do his best to become a hokage, and that is the reason why Naruto never seems to give up in battle. The main characters have to pass the enemy known as fear and once passed, one earns the right to be called a shinobi.

Every charcter on this show seems to have deep emotions and the story itself is breath taking! I can't believe such an anime could be created! The sadness of Naruto wanting to be noticed whom is reduced to class room clown, Sakura who can not win the love of her life and finally finds she can't allways let others protect her, Sasuke who's brother Itachi killed his own parents now becoming a demon's slave with that bite on his nack and seems to have feelings for Naruto, Zabuza who finds little Haku on the streets as n orphen taking him in out of some sort of sorrow when Haku tells him they are alike, and Haku who lives only to kill just so no one will get in the was of his , I'm assuming love, Zabuza's plans. Just a few of the beautifully created characters from the world of Naruto.
If you ever have the disire to see an anime you have never seen in your life before. Naruto is the best bet. I have only seen a part of season one and all of season two but so far it is still the best. Just remember, say no to WB! Dont let them dub Naruto! Sasuke's name will change to Bob or some stupid name! Remember Tao Ren! They changed his name to Lenny for crying out loud! Say no to WB!

One may be inclined to think that the popular Dragon Ball Z or maybe the Samurai X are the best anime television series ever made. However, neither Dragon Ball Z nor Samurai X is the best anime television series ever made. But there is a new series called Naruto, made by Masashi Kishimoto's and staff, that has succeeded in accomplishing emotional understanding, to a level never reached before, of its characters; by using sounds, images and the plot. This is the opinion of one of many of its fans, “The characters have true depth. Each character faces his fears and strengths. The characters have surface values as well as inner values.” (Brandon)That is why Naruto deserves the title of the best anime television series ever made to this date.
The story begins with the demon fox, Kyubi, scene attacking Konoha village, (soon to be Naruto home town) which was sealed in a boy body. This boy name is Naruto, a young hyperactive boy, which is considered responsible by many for the deaths of many ninjas in Konoha village. For that reason, he is hated by everyone but he does not know why because he is unaware that he is in fact Kyubi. He wants everyone to notice him since he never had parents or someone who would acknowledge him. In fact Naruto has been alone all his life. He wishes people to acknowledge his existence even if it meant to damage his education and reputation as a person. He decided he will become the hokage–highest class that a ninja can be— but first he must pass numerous tests to become hokage. At the beginning of his quest he is in the academy with numerous prospective ninjas that will be included in the plot. This expands the possibilities of the plot making it unpredictable. At the same time, it has the attribute that it does not have to concentrate in the main character because they are all connected in one way or another. The story goes on setting up individuals into groups of three. Naruto is team up with Sasuke, the number one rookie of the year, and with Sakura, the brightest in Konoha village. This makes the plot very exciting since the beginning there is the competitive approach in the plot between Naruto and Sasuke over everything. They confront many adversities, but every experience makes them grow more as individuals. This shows the beauty of an anime, a character power to change, for better or for worse.
The characters are deep and concerned with emotions that reaches the deepest level of one’s soul. Naruto can touch its viewer’s heart and put tears in their eyes. The characters tend to be determined to accomplish their dreams no matter. This makes them want to rise up to any challenge that life has in stored for them. Furthermore, the evil characters are not really evil; they just have goals that interfere with those of our heroes. This attribute is very realistic and makes a difference from other anime’s that want to portray life as black and white. This also brings reality into play, making life and death decisions of our characters more significant, since they realize that their enemies purpose is also noble .Naruto brings out emotion to the viewer by developing the characters in the story by giving them a sentimental purpose for their lives. While the plot develops you see the reactions of those around the action and that makes them interact in such a way that one can fell their feelings: fear, love, hate, desperation and sorrow. Naruto from beginning to its current last episode is masterfully made.
The best characteristic of Naruto is that it uses sound in a marvelous way. By sounds, I include the various actors that portray the soul of the characters and the Naruto beautiful music. “Film composer for The Powerpuff Girls Movie, weekly composer for Samurai Jack and The Powerpuff Girls TV series for the Cartoon Network, Clerks the Cartoon, and the upcoming fall MTV cartoon series, 3 South.I believe music can have many roles, it can add to the drama and emotion”(Chan). The actors bring the characters to life; they do a splendid job making the sound of their voices go in rhythm with the music and plot. Moreover, the music is heart-touching; it alone has the potential of being categorized as masterpieces. Just like Beethoven work, it brings emotion to the plot and feeds the imagination. The sound itself creates in one mind the illusion what might happen in the story. The music is so powerful and that it can even change one mood from excitement to sadness.
In any type of anime, it is very important that the drawings be concurrent with motions of their characters. Naruto drawings of its characters and surroundings are good, however, there are occasions that they fail to live up to the expectations the fans have. That is, because they have a weekly schedule to make the episodes which make the quality of the drawing fluctuate from episode to episode. Nevertheless, the drawings are very good in comparison to any anime to this date. The drawings showthe emotions so well that they are more vivid than reality. The drawings purposely focus in the eyes—the gate to one soul, according to Japanese culture— which can be emotionally effective in showing the characters feelings only with a look at their expression. One can test this theory by simply turning down the volume. Inevitably one will not understand the plot, but one can still kow what thet are feeling. That is the gift Naruto series has to give to its viewers.
Naruto is indeed a great animation that provides everything that an anime fan is looking for; a great deep plot, mixed with action pack scenes and finally the sense of connection towards the plot and the character. When one sees Naruto it is an unforgettable experience that will remain in one heart forever. Naruto is the essence of a true anime Naruto will remain in your heart and remind one of hi struggles and how he persevered against adversity. This is the true suggestion give its viewer the idea to keep going no matter what the obstacles are, that is the meaning of true success.

Rank: 571 | I love this anime and manga series to pieces. I am really glad that so far the anime has remained true to the manga.
Usually, no matter what the manga or anime, I hate the main character, so Naruto is extra special in that I actually like the main character (Naruto)!
This anime is just simply AMAZING. The characters are awesome and loveable, the story is great, the art is great, and I just can't get enough of it.
All the characters are unique and have their own little background story that makes them so much more believable and likeable. There will be at *least* one or two characters you can relate to, and many of the themes in the storyline are things that we can relate to and really understand on a personal basis; e.g. hardwork vs. natural talent, being ostracized because you are different, trying to find acceptance, etc.
The Japanese voice actors are amazing, too. They fit the characters so well they could have been made for the characters. |

Rank: 522 | | It's a great story dealing with the art of Ninjitsu. Every character is developed quite well, with their own moves and qualities. However, the conversion to animation was not really a success. The beginning and ending theme music are subpar to the normal standards of today's anime. It's cheesy, but not in a good DBZ way. Also, much of the episodes are drawn out with a lot of the story. The action is animated well, but it's a long wait. Still, I was quite impressed by the quality of the animation. Normally, an anime loses its quality from the comic, but Naruto experienced minimal loss. The story itself is quite complicated; the writers need the time to explain it but it's a pain to watch. It's a great comic to read, but nothing special. |

A long time ago Leaf Village was attacked by a Demon Fox and thanks to the efforts of the 4th Hokage the Fox was sealed into a little boy, this boy being Naruto. Naruto was supposed to be viewed as a hero by the people of the village but instead he came to be disliked and very much hated. Because of this he spends much time alone and causes alot of trouble so that the people of the village acknowledge him. Naruto isn't truly acknowledged until his teacher at the ninja academy helps him with a little ordeal concerning a sacred scroll. This is when the true story begins. |
