Rurouni Kenshin is a historical-adventure anime with a hint of comedy.The anime is based on a charactor named himura kenshin.Back before the "meiji revolution",Kenshin was a hitokiri(assasin) for shisengumi,a group rebeling against the bakumatsa era trying to bring equality to all the people in japan.However Kenshin was one of the most famous hitokiri,he was called"hitokiri battousai"(assasin of the quik draw)and was rumored to have slain over 1000 men.After the revolution has been won,in order to repent for all his killings,he makes an oath never to kill again,and gets a reverse blade sword.he goes missing for a while,but is found in the 11th year of Meiji were he is now a rurouni(Wanderer)using his "hiten-ryu-mitsurugi"style with his reverse blade sword to try and save lives as a way to repent for his bad deeds.thats were the series starts so im not gunna spoil it for ya o><o
Raitings:

Animation:10-the animeation is very good and detailed,the thing i liked most about it was the way it shows changes in emotion on the charactor

Story:8.5-The story line is very good but how ever it gets boring in parts

Charactors:8.5-The charactors are very well shown(even the non-main ones)and it also shows how they develope during the story line.

PS:by far the best thing about Kenshin is..ORO!

Also the manga is better than the anime ;-)

Rurouni Kenshin-Wandering Samuri is about mainly a guy named Kenshin Hemoura
It is set in imperial Japan sometime after the revolution.Kenshin is a great warrior who practices a very rare fighing style which uses a reverse-blade sword.He is called a "manslayer" because he killed so many people when he was fighing in the revolution as a member of the imperial army. Sometime afterwards however,he mysteriously dissapers.He wanders around protecting the inoocent and vows never to harm anyone with his deadly fighting style ever again.
Then the story gets interesting,he meets up with Kaeru (sp?) and she takes him in as a permanet resident at her school at which she is assistant head master. Some other people came and stay at the school like Yahiko, a teenage boy who is a student at the school, he is an orphan who thinks he can take on the world. There is more to tell but if you think you like what you hear,watch cartoon network at 7:00 e/p on toonami and make ur own review!!!!
