| A girl named Misaki goes to live with her aunt in Tokyo, where she comes across Angelic Layer, a fighting "angel" or doll game. She is immediately hooked on it and decides to create her own angel with the help of a strange man who calls himself Mr. Icchan. At school she meets some new friends who end up helping her and supporting her when she enters into the Angelic Layer competion where the angels battle eachother and the winners go to the national finals. A very cute and funny story that spans five novels. Completely out in manga form in the US, but not at all in the anime.Click here to submit a description! |

The main idea of the anime is interesting because it suggests by sheer mental will you can control these tiny robotic androids called angels. I llike how they incoperated break through research in medical science in a children's game. The fact that these players can make their angels move around on the layer any way they want; only limited by their imaginations is exciting. The unique battle style...
