This anime is more true to the manga than the OVA films, and very enjoyable. It has some dark element- especially toward the latter half of the 26 episodes. It is not as lighthearted as many other anime and some very serious questions about life, evolution and death. But still feels like a show for younger teens, it's characters are mostly likeable and hateable suitably.
