And there she meet InuYasha a hanyou (half-demon) who was sealed to a tree by Kikyou his old love who he thought betrayed him. Well Kagome is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyou and she too has her priestess abilities, like seeing shikon jewel shards which can magnify a demons strengh emensely if brought together.
